A brilliantly honest guide to the highs and lows of parenthood from the author of award-winning blog The Thud.
You Will (Probably) Survive is the parenting book that every new parent will wish they had. The reality, warts and all, will be laid out in Lauren Dubois's trademark hilarious style. She will tackle the realities of pregnancy, having a newborn, a baby and a toddler by breaking each stage down into bite-size chunks for the tired parent teetering on the brink.
This is not a practical parenting handbook. It is a funny book that provides comfort and solace to parents through making light of the hard yards involved in looking after little people with big needs.
About the Author
Lauren is a former political journalist who worked in TV and radio in the federal Press Gallery before taking a break to have her children. Having dealt with tantrums, meltdowns and hissy fits from the people who run our country, Lauren thought dealing with one tiny baby would be a breeze. She was wrong.
As she struggled to find her way in this new, isolating and confidence-crushing world, Lauren started to write: and people started to read. Her award-winning blog, The Thud, shares her sometimes raw, often hilarious, occasionally foul-mouthed observations of surviving motherhood, warts and all.
